For over 20 years Ergobaby has stood for the highest standards in quality, ergonomics, and suitability for everyday use, and we strive to keep improving our products. We place value on independent external feedback. That's why we have our products reviewed by midwives and other health experts, industry associations, real parents, trade media, sustainability experts and design forums from the perspective of their respective expertise and tested in everyday life or in the laboratory. Sometimes a jury even consists of several of these experts, to offer you an even more well-founded result and better orientation in the product jungle with a seal thanks to different perspectives.
On this page we give you an overview of the most important awards, seals of approval and certificates from the last few years. It is, so to speak, the medal table for the performance of our products under the critical eyes of various national and international experts, e.g., in Germany, Great Britain, the USA and France. We have been awarded gold, silver, and bronze accolades, which we are very proud of. See for yourself.
Health experts
Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. (AGR) (Healthy Back Campaign)
The seal of quality of the German association Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. is awarded to back-friendly products in baby product areas such as baby carriers, strollers, car seats, mattresses, baby bouncers. According to product-specific criteria catalogues, the respective products are presented live in front of a panel of medical experts (orthopaedists, physiotherapists, ergonomics, and development specialists) and then evaluated. Products that optimally support and relieve the back are awarded.
All our baby carriers, Metro+ Stroller and the Evolve 3-in-1 baby bouncer have been awarded the AGR seal of approval because they are back-friendly for baby, parents and caregivers, and contribute to healthy development or maintenance of (back) health. At Ergobaby, we not only meet the standards currently set, we also actively help to shape them. For example, the Evolve baby bouncer with its outstanding ergonomic features has not only set new AGR standards, it is also currently the first and only baby bouncer with the AGR seal of approval.
International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI)
With the help of international experts, the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI, United States) awards ergonomic baby products that promote healthy hip development. Especially in the first year of life, it is important that the head of the hip joint assumes a correct position in relation to the acetabulum, as the structures of the acetabulum and head, which are still largely cartilaginous at birth, are only gradually replaced by bone substance. It is precisely these essential factors in child development that the IHDI pays attention to and confirms with the award for all our stretchers as well as our pucks and baby sleeping bags that these products optimally support your baby in healthy development.
Midwives
In 2022, 64 midwives and babywearing advisors in Germany and Austria put our Adapt SoftFlex Mesh baby carrier through its paces. The result: 92 percent of the experts recommend the Adapt SoftFlex Mesh Baby Carrier and rate it overall as "good" (1.9). The respondents particularly liked the ease of use, the breathable, soft material, the high level of comfort due to the soft padding and the possibility to adjust the Adapt optimally and continuously to the size of the growing child and their own body according to age and development.

Parenting Award - Good Housekeeping
The experts (scientists, engineers, and many more) of the Good Housekeeping Institute (United States) award the best products for parents. In different product categories, products for babies, toddlers and their caregivers are evaluated based on various criteria, such as innovation, suitability for everyday use and price. Good Housekeeping awarded the 2022 Omni Breeze Baby Carrier with the Parenting Award for its ergonomic design, superior breathability, and comfort. "It was our best tested baby carrier and received top marks from testers for comfort and secure support. Parents testing even said they could wear their babies for long periods of time without straining."
Top 10 Baby and Child
Every year, the BVS Handelsverband Spielwaren in Germany selects the 10 best baby and children's products of the respective year. In 2023, the jury of industry experts selected our breathable Omni Breeze Baby Carrier as one of the 10 best products. The jury was particularly impressed by the comfortable air circulation and the 4-position carrying system
JPMA Innovation Award
The JPMA Innovation Award recognises some of the most exciting and innovative new products in the baby sector by experts from the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Associations (JPMA). The experts include employees from companies in the baby industry (prenatal to preschool) from North America. A wide variety of products are tested and awarded, ranging from apps, toys, and baby equipment. In 2022, our Evolve 3-in-1 Baby Bouncer earned the label.
MadeForMums Awards
With the help of families, industry experts and influencers in the UK, MadeForMums has tested a wide range of products in different categories to help parents choose the right products for their children. In 2023, a total of 1,000 products were tested. We are all the prouder that a total of four of our products made it into the top 3 of their respective categories.
In the baby carrier category, our Ergobaby Omni Breeze and Omni Dream baby carriers won gold (1st place) and just behind them, our Embrace newborn carrier won the bronze medal. The Omni baby carriers were particularly convincing with their mass of practical features, including four carrying positions and the perfect fit for a wide variety of carriers. One tester said of the Embrace baby carrier: "It is easy to use, and I love that I can put it on myself. The baby carrier offers excellent quality, and I liked the soft material which made my baby feel comfortable."
In 2022 and 2023, our Metro+ strollers secured first place within the compact pushchair category with its unique features, such as the newborn nest. Finally, our Evolve 3-in-1 baby bouncer made it straight to the podium (3rd place) among the rockers, swings and bouncers category in its first year of launching! Tester Ellouise wrote: "The baby bouncer is very well made and has a really good quality. The fabric is soft and feels high quality. And I love that the baby bouncer comes in different colours; the simple design goes well with most interiors."
Real parents
ConsoBaby
The ConsoBaby label is the first independent label awarded directly by parents in France for baby products and children up to 4 years old. Participating parents rate their personal best baby products based on a price, handling, comfort and appearance. We are very proud that our Adapt, Omni 360, Embrace, Metro, classic sleeping bag have all received the ConsoBaby label. Based on the satisfaction of real parents, thanks to an overall rating of over 4 out of 5 stars and 45 to 173 reviews. In the consistently good ratings for the respective criteria, the Adapt SoftFlex™ Mesh achieved praise for its handling, the Omni 360 for its comfort and the Embrace newborn carrier for its style.
KidsGo recommendation
In cooperation with KidsGo magazine, we had our Omni Breeze baby carrier tested by 15 families in Germany with babies aged between six weeks to 12 months. The Omni Breeze was rated "very good" (1.3) overall. The quality of the material, the safety for the child, the padded shoulder straps and the integrated pockets scored particularly well.
Mother & Baby Awards
Real mums in the UK test the best pregnancy and baby products, as well as products for new mums on the market. Our Metro+ won the 2020 Gold Award in the "Lightweight Strollers" category. The award confirmed that the Metro+ pushchair had all-round convincing features. The testers particularly appreciated the easy unfolding and folding, the compact folding size and the light weight.
Babyforum product test
In November 2022, 16 families in Germany, Austria and Switzerland tested our Evolve 3-in-1 baby bouncer in their homes. The children ranged from newborn, baby, and toddlers. The Evolve Bouncer received 5 out of 5 stars rating for its intuitive handling, safety features, comfort, and stylish design.
MamaReporter product test
In the MamaReporter Community, mums and dads from Germany can apply for product tests and try out the latest products on the market and put them through their paces in everyday life. The overall verdict of 10 families who tested our Evolve 3-in-1 baby bouncer, rating it 5 out of 5 stars. In addition to safety and comfort, the bouncer also impressed with its support and ergonomics, as tester Laura describes: "The ergonomics of the bouncer are perfectly adapted to babies and toddlers and are easy on the back. Baby position in the bouncer is also very secure, so we didn't have to worry about our daughter." And it's not just the grown-ups who are convinced, the little ones are too: "My daughter really likes rocking in the bouncer."

French magazine "Parents" offers parents guidance with a selection of products that have been carefully researched, tested, and awarded by editors, experts, and young families. All award-winning products meet category-specific essential and indispensable criteria. For baby products these are; Innovation, suitability for everyday use and safety. Parents - Best for Baby Awards
Every year the "Best for Baby Awards" recognise the best baby products. Real families, experts and the "Parents" editorial team choose their favourite products in terms of innovation, sustainability, suitability for everyday use and their suitability to make life easier for new parents. In 2022, over 300 parents were asked to vote for their everyday baby favourites. The "Parents" editorial team looked at the latest products on the market and the expert jury put all the products through their paces. In the "baby carriers" category, our Omni Dream baby carriers 2022 secured the victory. In 2023, our Omni Breeze baby carrier also won the award from "Parents". In addition, our Evolve 3-in-1 High Chair won the coveted award for best high chair with its easy conversion without any tools, easy cleaning and minimalist design.

NGW Eco Excellence
The Eco-Excellence Award is an international media award that recognises outstanding products in the field of social and environmental sustainability. In 2022, our Aerloom baby carrier was nominated and won the award.
Green Good Design Award
The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urbanism and the Chicago Athenaeum - Museum of Architecture and Design present the Green GOOD DESIGN Award every year. This international award goes to innovative manufacturers and companies that focus on sustainable designs. Receiving the Green GOOD DESIGN Sustainability Award in 2021, the launch of our most innovative Aerloom baby carrier, confirms that Ergobaby is contributing to sustainability.
Green Guard Certification
UL Solutions, based in the United States, tests products for safety and sustainability in over 100 countries worldwide. Products with GREENGUARD certification are proven to meet some of the world's most stringent standards for chemical emissions, helping to reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure. We are proud that our Evolve 3-in-1 High Chair has been awarded the GREENGUARD GOLD label, helping to protect our planet.
Design experts
iF Design Award
The iF Design Award is one of the most renowned prizes and a worldwide symbol for excellent design. International design experts award this prize to products and projects in nine different disciplines: product, communication, packaging and service design, architecture and interior design, user experience (UX), user interface (UI) and professional concept. We are very proud that our innovative Aerloom baby carrier prevailed among almost 1,000 products in front of 98 design experts and was chosen as one of the best designs in 2021. The idea for the product, the shape, the functions, the innovation, and the influence that the sustainable Aerloom baby carrier has for Ergobaby, parents, society and our planet were particularly convincing. In 2019 our Metro stroller, predecessor of the Metro+ and Metro+ Deluxe, convinced the 67-member international design jury.
IDEA Award
IDEA stands for International Design Excellence Award and is awarded by the Industrial Designers Society of America for innovatively designed products. The fact that our Aerloom baby carrier was able to assert itself with its outstanding design against more than 2,000 participants from 25 countries and win the Silver Award (2nd place) is further proof of the innovation that Ergobaby has created with the Aerloom baby carrier.
Ergobaby's awards and certifications
Ergobaby puts ergonomics first. That's why many of our products are not only developed in collaboration with experienced midwives or paediatric orthopaedists - we also have them tested by independent institutes. These include, the Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. association or the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. This is why our baby carriers, the Metro+ stroller and the Evolve 3-in-1 Bouncer hold the AGR seal "tested & recommended" and our baby carriers, Evolve 3-in-1 baby bouncer and our baby sleeping bags meet the recommendations of the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. Baby carrier test: parents and professionals put Ergobaby under the microscope
To make sure that the products developed by Ergobaby really do make families' everyday lives easier, we have our baby carriers tested regarding functionality, appearance and comfort. The feedback helps us to become better to meet the needs of parents and children even more effectively. Through external tests by ÖkoTest, KidsGo, Top 10 Baby & Kind, we reach a large number of independent testers. Our Aerloom baby carrier won the renowned IF Design Award in this way.
Which stroller is best? - Metro+ Stroller put to the test.
The Ergobaby Metro+ and Metro+ Deluxe hold the AGR seal of approval and, according to tests by an independent laboratory, are the best-cushioned ultra-compact prams in their category. The adjustable backrest, the height-adjustable handlebar, the good suspension, and the easy handling make the Metro+ a back-friendly choice for both parent and baby. The Metro+ is considered a great travel choice thanks to the ultra-light, compact fold. Which baby bouncer is the best? Developed with a paediatric orthopaedist and awarded by experts
Our Ergobaby Evolve 3-in-1 Bouncer is the first and only baby bouncer to be awarded the seal of approval of the Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. (Healthy Back Campaign). Our ergonomic baby bouncer was designed in cooperation with a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon so that babies can be in the ergonomic squat-splay position from birth.
